Science Road show

On 26.03.19 Otaki college had people come around to teach us about science. It was cool because they had all these projects around the hall, at first we got the front row seat and they taught us about science stuff.;A couple of minutes later, primary schools walked in and they got the front row seat. Then they said it all over again because they needed to know what were saying, after they caught up they taught us about heat reaction!!

They brought someone from the audience up to put some coloured gasses, or whatever they used into the flames! the first colour was red or pink and it was kinda pretty but to me it just looked like a normal fire colour, the next one was orange and the same as the last one it looked exactly the same as a normal fire colour, but the last one was beautiful!! It was green!

And after that they out lots of stuff down then they started to heat it up!! it turned into a beautiful flash of light!! It looked like a explosion or a firework!

Then we got to get up and look around me and Adejah found it kinda boring, and then we realised that it was lunch so we asked if I should go get my bag for swimming and we did so we wen't to swimming. When we got back they were already onto another lesson and they were just ending it too!

They were launching a rocket! we got to count down and it crashed into the wall, Then they ended we got to explore again and it was boring. Then we had
to leave.

Festival of Arts

Festival of the Arts 14th of march We all got off the bus, and started walking to our first event. Wellington was a big city, so that meant here had to be big buildings, we walked a while until we finally made it. We waited outside for a while, and then we lined up and walked down to where it really was, and again we had to wait outside. So after waiting outside again! We were finally aloud to go inside and that’s what we did. We all sat down on puzzle pieces? They were mats shaped like puzzle pieces, and we waited and waited, until the main actors came! They walked down the walkway thing and introduced themselves, but I forgot they’re names so yeah.
 They were they sound effects people, so this was about sound effects...Cool! They’re first story was about evil scientists, making weird things like a hawk cat? No never mind! It was THUNDER CAT!!! And a little boy who kept on getting bullied, and another story was about a girl who turned into a vampire and everyone judged her, except her best friend who stayed with her through it all.

 Our next event was in a alleyway, and it was covered with amazing drawings!! We lined up then went inside, and let me just say I was NOT expecting that!!! It was a opera house, and it was gorgeous! We took our seats and sat down, we waited for a long long long! Time,( I know I say ‘we waited’ a lot!) and it was so boring, so me and my friend Adejah went on our phone’s and played some games, so it wasn’t too boring and we also got to eat our lunch, and when it finally started it seemed extremely… AMAZING!!! The main actress was doing flips, cartwheels and round-offs! And yeah.

 This one was about mimes just mimes doing some tricks and plays it was really cool! The first act they did, that was kinda the intro? Well either way it was about them having a duck and the other person accidentally swallowed it and all he could do is quack, the next one was about a window cleaner and a dude who is working, the window cleaner gets stuck really high up, and he tries to tell the worker man to call the police or the fire department for help, but the worker dude doesn’t understand and keeps failing so the window cleaner gives up. Then the worker person gets a idea and opens the window, the window worker is obviously angry at the worker dude so he starts a fight and the worker person agrees well he doesn’t but he puts his fists up so good enough, then the window cleaner gets the most powerful weapon ever!! His spray bottle! And they did lot’s of cool other plays and I wanted to stay but we had to go on the bus!

Athletics Day

It was athletics day, I stepped out of the car and immediately heard music. I walked up the stairs and saw Annelise one of my friends.

“Hi” I said as I walked up to her. We sat and talked for a long time, until we heard a loud speaker telling us to go to our house groups so me and Annelise walked down the stairs all the way to our house groups.

I sat they’re for a while lonely because Annelise was in a different group but luckily Lilly wasn’t so I had someone to sit with.

Finally after a long time of sitting, it had finally started. The best house stood up,  (which is Matai) and started walking over to the track sadly we had to go at the back because reasons, and then we saw all the houses walk so we started to walk.

Then most people started to jog so we started to jog, then we got faster and faster, me and kerranna started running and then I realised we have to do four lengths of this.

So I started to slow down to not waste my energy, and started jogging again.

Then after that we had to sit down at our house colours, again. But then skipping all the waiting and then we finally have our first activity, for the year seven and eight girls, we walked over there and found out what it was, it was throwing a ball into a hoop. Doesn’t sound that hard? Try it with a rugby ball and from a far distance. Okay it still doesn’t sound that hard but it was.

Lots of girls had tried and most of them had made it to the second place to stand from, but not me when it was my go, I couldn’t make it past the first one because I have terrible aim.
